Christmas Day 2009

Ever since I have been married we have spent Christmas day with the Pattison's. My in-laws wake us by telling us Santa has arrived and we have the most amazing morning! We stay in our pj's, while carols are jamming and we open gifts all morning! I even have my own stocking!! This year I recieved a amazing gifts as always. John and Michele bought us a Wii, Laura and Merve made homemade goodies, Aunt Tina bought me an aweome lipgloss set and cammies. We had tons of goodies in our stockings, and even a scarf and perfume from Ireland and a cool shirt from London. My father in-law gave Dennis a flip camera which is awesome! I was in disbelief when Dad P came out with three big Coach bags. It was the sweetest gesture that he picked the girls out a purse! I know they cost him a ton but I love that I can just picture him shopping for them. I got the beige because I have dark hair, Michele got black because she has blonde hair and Mom P got th chocalte brown...not sure why..hehe. In my family we never really did a big Christmas day...so I love and look forward to our Christmas morning every year!

This year Mom P had ankle replacment surgery only a week before Christmas. Although she planned ahead and baked her famous onion loaf and lasagna, I know that it was hard for her not being involved in the dinner set-up and clean-up. For the first year ever we used paper plates, and her mothers china stayed in. She was such a good sport and did amazing despite all of the pain she must have been in. I was especially impressed with Dad P. He worked so hard all Christmas, setting up, cleaning up, making margaritas, running errands. I know he did it all for us and Mom P and that is what makes a family beautiful.

I am so blessed to have such a beautiful family!
