The morning was perfect.. We slept in, we ate breakfast and watched some football on the couch. After contemplating what to do Dennis and I decided it would be nice to spend it in Ojai with his family. Mom and Dad P are in Europe for thanksgiving so we would be without them. John and Michele would be at her families so we would miss them too. on the drive up we called Grandpa and Grandpa. When they both got on the phone Dennis told them. Grandpa said we made there thanksgiving with such wonderful news. Grandma was so happy too. We talked to Aunt Kelly too. It was perfect.
When we arrived we were so happy to see the Stumps and VanAukers. We told Aunt Tina and Uncle Ron the news and Aunt Tina confessed she already knew! Ha ha. She had been picking up and sorting my inlaws mail. We had mailed a thank you note addressed to Grandpa Mike and Grandma Debi... She knew right away! Super funny!
We enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner mostly prepared Laura and some by Aunt Tina. It was so awesome catching up and watching zuzzy eating his turkey. He is beyond adorable . We all wrote thank you slips to read after dinner, he said I am thankful for my two dogs. Ha ha ha! After dinner we chatted then it was time to bathe the zuz! He was do funny running around naked.. I loved watching him playing in the tub... I especially loved watching Laura be a mommy. She sang him songs and is just such a natural!
We left at around 9pm. It was one of best Thanksgivings I've had.
On the way home Dennis and I stopped at the Camarillo outlets for a little black Friday shopping. It started off slow but in matter of a half hour it was a zoo! We managed to get a few deals..then drove home exhausted.
It was a perfect thanksgiving! Merve said... Enjoy your dinner because next year you won't eat in peace. Ha! I can't wait!
