Project Nursery

I'm 24 weeks today. 6 months already and time is going fast..but at the same time and This 3 day weekend was all about getting baby Micki's room! She isn't even born yet and all Dennis and I do is think about her! Our life already revolves her. I kinda love it though.

We decided to paint the baby's room before our closet install this week. I had still been debating on colors and bedding.. so many cute choices. After a simple confirmation from my girlfriends at work I decided. I woul d go with light aqua color I want it almost see through.. Ha.. Then the Coco dot bedding from pottery barn kids. We could accent with pinks and white.. Oh and butterflies! Ha
So Saturday we went to go buy paint.. And we thought we picked the perfect shade! Dennis primed and I helped tape a bit.. He painted away! Two coats of course then he called me downstairs to see the finished product. I walked in and I was a little shocked by the color. It was pretty just really bright and a but overwhelming. A nursery should calming and felt like I was diving into a pool! We knew it wrong but were afraid to admit it!

1st potential leak...D spent hours on texture.

Sunday it was on..we went to go buy samples of paint and tried them in nursery. Dennis was even trying to convince me to paint pink... Ha ha. He was the one that prohibited the pink now he wanted it! Clearly The paint fumes had gone to his head. We went to pottery barn to buy the bedding since luckily they had the quilt and bumper and it wad on sale! Awesome! We had a quick dinner and went to church. Then we were off to home depot a 3rd time. Funny that we then decided on a color we didn't even sample! I know!!!

Dennis stayed up until 3am finishing the room. He is crazy but that's why I love him. The door bell rang at 745 for the closet guy to measure. I ran down to see the room...it was beautiful. I'm not sure if it's the color I had in mind but I love it. It's girlie, beachy, fun, and soothing.

So today we spent all day cleaning out the closet.. We got rid of bags of junk! It felt great.

Real leak...fixed but we had to move everything out! 

Fast Forward to being 38 Weeks! (Memorial Weekend) It seems like we barely finished this weekend since our PBK Rocker arrived! ALthough it is super white which freaks me out since she might be projectile vomitting...hahah.  I'm seriously in love with our nursery. Its simple, clean and so soothing. We have nothing on the walls and I am ok with that although D wants to put up her name (over done now!) and add frames. He worked so so hard painting...repainting since we had a leak...moving everything in then out...because of the leak! I cant wait for her to be in it!
