5 months

Dear Micaela,

What a beautiful month this was with  you! A little bittersweet because I know I have to go back to work soon and I am going to miss our time together so much! We started to sleep train you by the end of your 4th month but then you got a cold and I couldn't let you cry at all. You had a stuffy nose, a little fever and a cough. It was so sad to hear you congested and sniffly. I used this little tube to such your little boogies out called the nose frida. You would cry every time but then would take a deep breath. We cuddled lots together since it was easier for you to nap over my shoulder. At night we ran the humidifier and put vicks in it so your

room was a little minty steam room. You would wake up often at night despite that. A few days after you passed the cold on to me and we were both sniffling together. It took about a week for you and I to feel better.

  You still love to nap on me and I can not put you down in the crib AT ALL!!  It gets me a little frustrated but at the same time I enjoy holding you. Sometimes I just stare at you and I dream of who will become! You are still nursing and you are pretty good at it! I'm so glad I stuck with it. You get really excited when I do the sign language for milk and hungry.
You are so smart and are becoming so inquisitive! Its amazing how much you have grown! Its like you are a little girl. You love to make little fart noises with your mouth and make the cutest little faces with with your eyebrows raised! You are now loving your excersaucer. Daddy calls you a little mad scientist because you look like you are so into every little toy with your hands. You can sit there for a good 30-40minutes at a time. Tummy time is kind of a challenge because you get so frustrated that you can't reach things. You are such a good roller though! You can roll all around and after a while you get tired and start to complain.

    Everything still goes in your mouth. You are making different sounds. You love to chase mommy around the house. You still love bath time. I think its our favorite time too. You can kind of sit for short periods of time but then topple over. You stick out your lengua which I love!!
