The month of December was especially hard because I started back at work. It was so wonderful being home with you for such a long time but it went by so fast. I cried a lot the week before work started because I did not know how you would do without me! I worried about you eating well since you are still nursing, I worried about you napping since you sleep on me and I just worried you would cry because of all the change. The first two week you stayed home with your Poppa. Although I was nervous about this I knew he would take such good care of you. He did such an amazing job with you. Then you were off to Abuelita's for a week..... My only consolation was knowing that you Abuelita and Abuelito would take such good care of you. I am already counting the days until Christmas Break!
You really adjusted well and when I get home to see you I am greeted with such big smiles and you were always ready to eat and nap with me!
Let's talk about you now...Your eye is all better!! Yipee! It happens over night! No more clogged tear duct...and thank goodness because it was so annoying wiping your little eye with cotton all day. You are very distracted while nursing especially when Dad comes in the room...it cracks us up! Your favorite time is still bath time. You are hitting some major milestones!! You are on all fours and pump your booty! You inch a little towards toys. You make "crazy" sounds that sound like grrrrr. We call them Loqines or monsters! After your 6 month check up we started you on solids. You started rice cerel this month and you love it! First foods: Rice for 2weeks, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, avacado, and pears. We have to really puree everything but you love to eat! You drink about 4 ounces every 3 hours and have two small meals a day. You sleep through the night which is amaing and are now sleep trained! We discovered this when a nanny came to watch you while Daddy went to his Christmas party. You take good naps and barely cry! You need about 2 ounces of milk and some white noise...at night we say goodnight to things. "Good night Manhattan Beach Pier, Good night Luz, Good Night Banister, Good night wise owl, Good night pregnant mommy and baby Micaela, Good night butterflies. Then I nurse you to sleep...its amazing!! You say ma ma ma ma, and love to growl errrrr errrrr! ALl of sudden you could sit! You went from tipping over at the beginning of the month and by Christmas you were sitting so well! You are moving around too!! You are scooting and army crawling slowly which is amazing!!! By 1/1/13 You are really moving like a caterpillar.
Time to baby proof everything!!
You really amaze me. You are becoming more independent and I am proud of you. I also really miss you wanting to snuggle with me. It was nice having two week off to be with you. You are he most beautiful little girl I have ever seen! I love you so much!
Your Momma!
