RIP Grandma Pattison

Grandma Pattison has been really sick for a few months. Her and Grandpa asked the family not to come this 4th of July because it would be be too hard on her and Grandpa. Close to her passing she was sleeping most of the day and night and eating very little. This Thursday night she was received  in heaven. Her and Grandpa were married one month short of 65 years.

I met Grandma many years ago at John's college graduation. It was very clear that everyone respected her. She was very honest and I thats what I liked about her. You knew exactly what she was thinking. She kind and loved her children and grandkids so much. She always spoke so highly of them.  Dennis always spoke with such admiration of his grandparents. AT our wedding Dennis danced the mother son dance with Grandma and he said it was really special because she
hadn't been able to walk for some time due to an injury.

After Dennis I married we took family trips to visit them. Port Austin on the 4th of July was my favorite. Grandma and Grandpa worked hard to prepare for our stay. I loved hearing stories from Grandma. I especially found joy in the love she had for Grandpa. They adored each other and did everything for one another. They are such good role models for what a married couple should be. She was truly a beautiful person. This last year they came to California to meet Micaela. Dennis and I were so so happy that they were able to hold her. What a special thing to see the generations together. I know this journey is going to be hard for the family but especially Grandpa. I know Grandma will watch over all of us. Through her children and grandchildren her memory will live on forever. Rest in Peace Grandma Pattison.
