September is Here!

When September comes I know Summer is over. No more sleeping in, lunch dates with my mom, seeing my nieces and nephews as often as I would like, working-out at noon, and only worrying about whats for dinner.

Labor Day weekend really marks the end of Summer and this year it was a great party! Saturday was our first home game at USC. Dennis and I have student season tickets and I enjoy tailgating and the games so much! We tailgate at the Marshall School of Business (D's and John's MBA school)and it's always a good time. We hung out with Jen, James, John, Sean (Mich was running her marathon) and hundreds of other Trojan fans. We left early because of the heat and headed to El Gringo for a yummy lunch.

Sunday was Fiesta Hermosa and we met up with Jen and James again. The beer tent was entertaining, and after we ate tapas at Mediterrano. Jen and James left Den and I headed to Dragon by ourselves...so weird but sooo fun. We drank a few more beers and had a great time dancing and laughing...my two favorite things! After we headed to Steve's house and played rock band for a few hours...WHAT A NIGHT!!!

Monday Leo and Mom came over and we walked to Fiesta Hermosa again, enjoyed shopping and lunch at Bluewater Grill. The great weekend came to an end!

I am back to work as a 6 year teacher. My first week went great, especially since I have a student teacher for two class periods. Although I am tired and I don't have the same amount of free time..I am glad to be back to work. I really needed a little structure back in my life. I am going to school one night a week as I have one class left for my Masters!!!!
I look forward to...more football, girls night with the Lakewood ladies, finishing my masters, my 30th birthday, and Christmas vacation.
