Amanda's Baby Shower

Amanda is the most caring giving person in the world. She has been an amazing friend and although we don't see each other that often since Micaela has been born I know that I can count on her for anything. Her an Telly had a long road to get pregnant and now we are all so so happy that they will have a beautiful baby boy. (His name will be James David Baca and he will weigh almost 9 pounds and be 22inches long). We can't wait to meet sweet baby James!!! Amanda did not want a shower but of course that would not be allowed! After all how many shows etc has she attended happily!! hahah It was an awesome team effort planning Amanda's baby shower. Kristen and I coordinated the group and we all met at Amanda's house to divide up responsibilities. Everything turned out so cute!! Here are the pics I took! We were so excited to share this fun day with her.

LBC Girls Shower

I have been so lucky to become friends with such an amazing group of girls. Its been a couple years now that I've been joining my co-workers for a girls night once a month. I have seen how much they take care of each other and support each other. Of course there is the occasional misunderstanding but through it all the groups remains strong! I have loved watching the group grow with baby arrivals! Brookie, Luella, Max, Olive and Grace were all born while I was getting closer to the girls. I love how each mommy parents different but the one thing they all have in common is how much they love and care about their kiddos! I love asking them questions and they always have the best answers! Some funny too. Charla gave me pregnancy clothes which I'm sure was shared with a few others...while Cora has non stop given me tons of baby clothes and other goodies for my baby girl! Charla called me on saturday morning in March and said " I want to host a shower for you...when can you do it!" I was seriously beyond flattered and felt so special that she would want to that for me. She said she had talked to some of the girls and they all would help! We decided on Cinco de Mayo theme...and I was so so excited! The day of the shower we had such an amazing day! I know Charla, her brother and Lisa worked so hard to get everything together. All the girls brought the food stuff. I cant even believe how awesome everything looked...every little detail was adorable...the blocks on tables had cute messages, the big colored lanterns, the candy table and even a funny picture of a woman nursing hahah. The best part was being with all of these ladies I am so happy to call my friends. We ate lunch then the girls gave me advice! Sure some was a little negative but I love to hear it all! Doesn't mean I will take all of it...I just like that everyone keeps it real! hahah. we played some funny games that Lisa came prepared with. They all bought me adorable gifts which was beyond sweet of them! I had such a beautiful day. I almost feel guilty with how much I have been given throughout this pregnancy. I am so blessed!

Murrieta Baby Shower

Aunt Tina and Mom P did such an amazing job!
Check out the beautiful pink dessert table.
Sisters
Today we headed to Murrieta for a baby shower Mom P had been planning. When we arrived it was set up so beautifully! Pink tablecloths, an adorable candy and cupcake table, pink lemonade and the poms hung decoratively in the backyard. My favorite were the birdseed duckies that Mom P had custom made as take home treats! Soon all the ladies started to arrive...Geniel, Cindy, Jeanie, Gayle, Cherie, Grandma Horn, and Karla. Michele and Aunt Tina had already been there helping Mom P set up. Dad and Dennis left for the day to leave the ladies alone. We started on the games and Aunt Tina did a great job with those. We chatted a bit and then enjoyed a delicious lunch of yummy salads, chicken and tri-trip. Veronica arrived about 2 hours late but she made it which is all that matters. I then opened gifts and everything was so cute! Grandma Pattison sent me some cute quilts and Gayle made me a diaper cake, Micaela got more adorable clothes including 5 bathing suits! hahha. We got a diaper pad, thermometer and some shampoo stuff to bathe her.We had a great time! I know my mom-inlaw worked so hard to put everything together. Aunt Tina was especially helpful to her too. I am grateful for such a wonderful family who already cares so much about our little baby girl. Thank you so so much Mom P for a great shower!!!

Co-Ed Shower...Thanks to my Girl Michele!!!

Michele thought it would be fun to have some kind of shower. At first I thought we could just invite all the girls to my mom's house or my mother in law's but looking at my list of friends I realized that would be too much. She suggested a co-ed shower which actually sounded like a great idea and Dennis loved it too. That way all of our friends could come over and hang out before the baby arrives. She took action and got the ball rolling! She ordered adorable invites and mailed them out. She would email me all these fun ideas for the candy table and I was seriously totally excited. A few weeks out she ordered a ton of candy for the candy bar...all pink and white. A week before she drove to her sisters to get some decor stuff and then made a trip party city for the paper goods and bowls. The cake she ordered from cupcake couture was to die for and even ordered some cute balloons to brighten up the house. The week of the shower she had a crazy schedule but still managed to pick up a ton of apps the night before.

Dennis had been working to clean up the house by painting all the doors downstairs and did other little projects. I wanted to order the sandwiches and make the salads for the shower as we have over 30 people coming and Michele had already done so so much!

After days of cleaning and even taking Friday off to grocery shop and prepare...the shower morning arrived. I got up super early to start making salads. I managed to get a blow dry then rushed back to finish up. Michele and john came over and while D and John picked up the cake, sandwiches and balloons Michele scrambled to decorate the house. It ended up looking so awesome! I loved it! By 1pm we were ready for our guests.

I loved the Candy Table!!! Michele hand picked everything on it.

The cake Michele ordered was so beautiful and delicious!!!

I loved the poms, balloons, and of course the MJP that my sis made.

Some of apps...yum!

We had a great turnout! It was so so fun just chatting with everyone. Everyone was so sweet to bring Dennis and I such nice things for the baby. I enjoyed the day so much and I know Dennis did as well! It had been so long since we all got together. We are growing up so there was no bar hoping after...hahaha. Times have truly changed. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. My sis in law Michele is a jewel! She did so much to prepare and them worked through the whole party. Serving cake, helping with gifts and then cleaning up everything after. I honestly could not thank her enough for such a beautiful day. I'm so excited for my little girl to meet everyone.

Next Shower...April 15th in Murrieta.

Casa Gomez Baby Shower

My mami did not really want to throw me a shower...she would rather buy me everything I need instead of asking others to buy me gifts. I told her I would handle everything if she simply made the food. Honestly all I wanted was to get together with my Tia's and cousins for some fun girl time. I started coordinating a little with Karla we put it all together in 2 weeks. Invites and all! Wendy was super sweet to make some cute treats so we decided to go with those colors. I spent two weeks buying junk...haha see's pops, plates, napkins, table clothes, and soaps for prizes... I ordered some decor online and coconut pineapple cake at Susie Cakes (purchased by my sissy's). My sisters were in charge of appetizers and games. Which was perfect. That day was pretty chaotic since the party was suppose to be on the patio...but a massive storm cam in and the party moved to the living room. Karla and I scrambled to set-up and the boys even helped. Kitty showed up 10 before show time and still had to make her fruit salad. hahaha. It turned out looking pretty cute and quickly everyone arrived. I was so excited that ALL my Tia's came!! I seriously couldn't stop crying at first. I had so much fun playing games but especially hearing all of their advice. They all bought me such nice things. The only hilarious part is that my dad participated in the shower...hahaha. He did not want to leave even though we told him a million times! My mother-in law and sister in law came as well...I hoped they would not be overwhelmed with my loud Tia's haha. It turned out to be so fun and I my sister's did a great job organizing the games! Thanks to my sissy's and Mom for a wonderful afternoon. I know my mom was so glad we all got together!
