Co-Ed Shower...Thanks to my Girl Michele!!!
Michele thought it would be fun to have some kind of shower. At first I thought we could just invite all the girls to my mom's house or my mother in law's but looking at my list of friends I realized that would be too much. She suggested a co-ed shower which actually sounded like a great idea and Dennis loved it too. That way all of our friends could come over and hang out before the baby arrives. She took action and got the ball rolling! She ordered adorable invites and mailed them out. She would email me all these fun ideas for the candy table and I was seriously totally excited. A few weeks out she ordered a ton of candy for the candy bar...all pink and white. A week before she drove to her sisters to get some decor stuff and then made a trip party city for the paper goods and bowls. The cake she ordered from cupcake couture was to die for and even ordered some cute balloons to brighten up the house. The week of the shower she had a crazy schedule but still managed to pick up a ton of apps the night before.
Dennis had been working to clean up the house by painting all the doors downstairs and did other little projects. I wanted to order the sandwiches and make the salads for the shower as we have over 30 people coming and Michele had already done so so much!
After days of cleaning and even taking Friday off to grocery shop and prepare...the shower morning arrived. I got up super early to start making salads. I managed to get a blow dry then rushed back to finish up. Michele and john came over and while D and John picked up the cake, sandwiches and balloons Michele scrambled to decorate the house. It ended up looking so awesome! I loved it! By 1pm we were ready for our guests.
I loved the Candy Table!!! Michele hand picked everything on it.

The cake Michele ordered was so beautiful and delicious!!!

I loved the poms, balloons, and of course the MJP that my sis made.

Some of apps...yum!

Laura sporting her new haircut! Love her.

Dad was at CASL but Mom P wouldn't have missed it!

My beautiful girlfriends! Love them!!

My BESTIES!! College and High school...I was so happy they made it!

More food!

The Hostess with Mostess...she totally ROCKS!!

D and I opening our gifts..Auntie Amanda and Uncle T bought us these books...and a teething giraffe, miracle blanket and awesome bouncer! Beyond generous!

Laura bought me adorable organic outfits!

We had a great turnout! It was so so fun just chatting with everyone. Everyone was so sweet to bring Dennis and I such nice things for the baby. I enjoyed the day so much and I know Dennis did as well! It had been so long since we all got together. We are growing up so there was no bar hoping after...hahaha. Times have truly changed. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. My sis in law Michele is a jewel! She did so much to prepare and them worked through the whole party. Serving cake, helping with gifts and then cleaning up everything after. I honestly could not thank her enough for such a beautiful day. I'm so excited for my little girl to meet everyone.
Next Shower...April 15th in Murrieta.

Stefan's Birthday Dinner
The crew headed to Sabatinos in Corona Del Mar to celebrate Stef's birthday! Stefan is like Dennis's brother. We love him....I know if I ever need anything I can count on him. We usually always celebrate all November birthdays together but this time we all got lazy to plan anything. It was great to see everyone and before we even sat down Stefan asked me something about the baby. We then just told everyone...and that was pretty cool! We got lots of congrats hugs! Dinner was yummy. Then we headed to a bar to continue the party. Being pregnant at a bar is truly a different experience. We left around 1130....haha. I was soo exhuasted. I love our friends..but I dont know if our social life will ever be the same. I hope some of our friends jump on the baby train soon so my baby has some friends...ahhaa.

We tell the Crew..minus a few.

Ian and Stefan came out to watch some college football. I called Amanda and Telly to tell them to come over as well. The boys left for the sportsbar wihile I waited for Amanda and Telly to arrive. Dennis texted me..." Can I tell the boys?" I was like of course! Later Amanda, Telly and I met up with them. I showed Amanda the ultra sound picture and she was ecstatic! The boys all congratualted us! Dennis had been dying to tell Stefan and I had been wanting to tell Amanda so bad! Amanda thinks its going to be a girl..so we will see if she is right.
After the sports bar and lots of football we headed to Waterman's. Dennis did not want me to go but I wanted to keep going! haha. We got a table and had a blast. I drank club soda and gingerale while they crew drank excessively. They did have a dd..which I am happy to do. I always thought I would want wine or a margarita but I honestly have not craved alcohol at all. After a fight nearly broke out we were ready to leave. The boys had other plans..like another bar. We dropped them off and Amanda and I headed home. Everyone spent the night...everyone felt sick...except for me! Aww the joys of not drinking. haha

I know our close friends will be good role models for our kiddo. We love them so much and I was so happy to share our news with them! Going out wont be as easy as this anymore. We will need a sitter and lots of energy. ha ha

The first Month in our new home.
I have not blogged in soo long but we have been sooo busy with all the house stuff. I seriously am loving it!! We have had so much help from friends and family that I just can't believe how blessed I feel.
* My Mom and the boys came to help during the week and then my Mom brought two helpers to help me move the kitchen and clean and organize my house! They were soo much help. Gracias Mami por siempre ayudarme en todo lo que te pido. Te quiero tanto y prometo ayudarte mas!
* Our movers...I was so thankful to have all of the boys come over to help us move. Dennis and I prepped everything so that they could just come and move everything. They even mad fun of how we wrapped everything up. It was suppose to rain and we were not taking any chances. Fortunately that morning it was clear skies! Steve, Stephan, Jose, Kelvin, Ian, John, Michele, and even Heather showed up to help. We were done in a few hours and then enjoyed the day together! They saved us a ton of money but I know we are getting to old to move ourselves. Amazing to have friends like this.
*Mom and Dad P: I loved having them over on the first Sunday. Mom P helped me line the cabinets while Dad and Dennis went to clean the apartment. I felt so bad but they did such a great job we got our deposit back. $2025 worth!! They also came back with some Pink's bbq...it was delish! It was so nice to share our first Sunday with them. They left us a nice card and the suprise for our LG Washer and Dryer! We love them! I love that I don't need quarters and no one takes my stuff out o fthe dryer. Best gift ever...thanks Mom and Dad!
* Mami y Papi: Mi Papi le pregunto a mi mami..."Y nosotros que le vamos a regalar?" I thought that was so cute since he can be a grouch. We did not need there help for our house so that was good and I know they did want to help us. Dennis and I wanted to do it alone as it means more that way. They were very generous though and sooo we have now purchased a New Dining Room Table, New Buffet, and the invisible bedroom set: This weekend we bought our beautiful Amherst Mahogony table at the Pottery Barn out et. It is gorgeous and on sale for $690. We have yet to find chairs so we are on a man hunt. We decided we would need a buffet to hold our china and we purchased one from a rich Manhattan Beach family for $460. It is the Laurel Pottery Barn Buffet and weighs a ton! Froy and Dennis picked it up and it was amazing that they were able to get it up the stairs. The search for our bedroom set continues!!! After going to see the Valencia set from PB in person we decided it was too red. I love the Hudson set but it's so expensive and I think Larry St. John could make one for a little cheaper.I hoping Dennis will give into my favorite the Ashby set. I love that my mom and dad even went looking for us. haha. Gracias Mami y Papi por ser tan lindos con nosotros!
*John and Michele have always been so supportive of us and this time it was no exception. They were awesome to come help us move and then bought us Wine Goblets from Pottery Barn. She noticed we were using the free sample ones from our Santa Barbara wine festival trip! hahaThey know we love Pottery Barn so they went there. It was a little embarrassing that Dennis broke one right away in front of them but it was easily taken care...oh and any excuse to go to PB!
* Lisa came to work with such an awesome surprise. A Welcome Door Mat, Candle and Bed Bath and Beyond. I love how sweet she is to always think of me. I loved my new door and so did Dennis! I still have not used my BBB card because I am waiting to decide on colors for my bathroom.
* Aunt Tina, Uncle Ron, and Sean bought us a gift card from Lowes. I can't say this enough but Dennis loves Home Depot and Lowes. He can look for stuff for hours..toliets, cabinets, saws, windows, you name it! haha. It's the perfect gift for the new home owner. We went to purchase our smoke detectors with wit this card. Thanks Stump family for keeping us safe!
* Karla and Froy came to visit on Sunday. It was a short visit but we had fun. Froy was so sweet to empty out the van and help us pick up our new buffet he then helped lift it...ouch! We even managed to go to In N Out for dinner. When we came home we discovered a card on the computer with cash money. It brought me to tears because they are so sweet to do that! I was just glad they came to visit! I want to buy my dining room rug with that.
Our family and friends have been so incredibly supportive.

UFC: Lesnar vs Velasquez
Dennis and I met up with his co-workers for the Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez fight. We drove out to the Honda Center and went to the Bank of America box suite. I was a little nervous it would be flat biller overload...and it was but I suprisingly had so much fun! There was a few big line ups...Tito Ortiz lost to Matt Hamill and the main event Lesnar lost his belt to Cain Velasquez. I was so glad that Velasquez won since the drunk guy next was talking so much smack about Velasquez. It was a cool experience..except for when I missed a step and fell onto Dennis's co-workers lap and got a giant bruise!!
After the fight we headed to celebrate Cristina's bday in Lakewood. We hung out with the crew for a little while and then we headed home.

Labor Day 2010
Labor Day we had the crew over for a beach day and bbq. We chilled at the beach for a few hours then headed to fiesta Hermosa for a bit. We came home to grill some burgers after a chill day!

Sunday my in-laws came to visit us in Hermosa. Chuck and Darcy joined us all day at the beer tent and then at Fat Face. After they left we headed over to Micheles for some wine and apps. Great family Sunday!

Nike 10K-The Human Race 2009

This weekend was the annual Nike Human Race 10K and it was a unique event for me. So here is the break down:
Year 1:
Date: September 15, 2007, 9:00am
Cost: $31 or $39
Performers: Naughty by Nature (Treach shakes my hand), MC Hammer (I danced on Stage with him)
Race: Stephan, Dennis and I stick together while everyone else goes for a great time. We cut a little bit of the course but still finish strong!
Proud Moment: running into the LA coliseum because I felt like a sports star!
Highlights: I especially enjoyed trying to pull off Treaches ring…not on purpose!
Year 2:
Performers: Kanye West and Common
Date: Sunday, August 31, 2008, 6:30pm
Cost: $35
Race: Stephan, Dennis and I stick together for most of the race. Dennis hangs with me the whole wasy.
Proud Moment: Finishing the 10k without cutting the course and jogging the whole way with blisters!
Highlight:” Amazing concert by Kanye, WOW! He is such an great performer and I know he is a jerk but I love his music!!
Year 3:
Performers: None..it was for Pete Carols foundation a better LA
Date: Friday, October 24, 2009 @midnight.
Cost: $25
Race: Hung with Michele and only ran about 2-3 miles in the end.
Proud Moment: Doing tequila shots before, and during the race and ending with a stop at McDonalds! Talk about an unhealthy 10K!
Highlight: Michele and I running into the 901 bar laughing our butts off...and then taking a Patron shot during the race!
In the end we all met up at and everyone completed the race. Dennis came away limping and Jose proud he kept up with Ian! Until next year!

Memorial Weekend
Started off with Thursday at the Jimmy concert. Matt's RV was totally cool, and it was fun to take a day off of school for a fun filled day of drinking and friends. Seeing 50 year old boobs with my mom in law and Mich was hilarious. I got kinda mad at D because he always seems to not hang out...it was a fight that dragged on because he said I worked to hard..huh?
Friday at work was cool..tired but the day went by quick. Went to mami's after to return all the borrowed goods. Laughed and chatted with my bro.
Saturday I went to Cora and Aarons bbq, while D played basketball..later we watched the Lakers and went to CPK. Hung out with Jon and Katie..totally chill.
Sunday off to Murrieta with the Gomez Fam..Vero hosted us. I realize how much I love spending time with my nieces and nephews. I can't get enough of them!! So fun.
Monday we went to lunch with my inlaws at Lucilles..so nice hanging out with them. Then the outlets that night.
Great weekend with no stress!!
