35 for Me!

I can't believe I am 35. I honestly didnt even realize this until recently! Time has gone by so fast and I dont feel old...but I don't feel young. My priorities have changed, the way I see my future has changed, the way I see the  has changed. Although I do care about my physical appearance it is not my priority. I would rather make time to spend time with my family and invest it playing with my Micki. I read articles and books on parenting and I plan fun events with my mom friends. I miss my date nights with D but every once in a while we escape to go get sushi. Nothing brings me more joy than watching Dennis and Micaela together. I want to always be healthy to enjoy so many birthdays with the ones I love.

This year as much as I wished for a big bash I was so so happy to go on a triple date with my sisters and bro in laws! We met at the Edge in Temecula for apps and drinks. We had so much fun dancing and laughing! On my actual birthday day Dennis and Micaela bought a cute Lululemon outfit and we went out for breakfast to Tammy's. Later that night the neighbors came over for some drinks and apps. We chatted up and it was perfect! What an awesome birthday! Until next year!

My Birthday

Birthday Weekend 2012

I'm 33...and oh how times have changed! It's my last weekend before I start work. Which is a whole different blog post! This year I asked my mom to come over so she could watch Micaela so I could finally get my hair done! It's been 6 months since I got it done so I look like a witch! She was happy to and my Tia Irene came also! It was nice to be out for a few hours. That night Dennis and I decided to go to my usual birthday restaurant...Cheesecake Factory. We figured we could sit in the bar area. Surprisingly Micaela did so amazing!! It was fun being out at night with our little one! That night I went to pick up some last minute things for our Christmas photo session with Charla!

Saturday: Photo shoot with Charla (I cant wait to see our pictures). Then we went to Liberty Diamonds  to see Troy. I got to pick out my earrings and they are gorgeous!! They will be my push, birthday and Christmas gift. I am so excited about them!

Sunday: My In-laws came over and  wanted to watch Micaela a bit while D and I went on a little date. Went to Nordstroms and had sushi lunch.

What an amazing way to end the weekend! I am dreading tomorrow....back to school and I have to leave my little one. I truly ended my 6 month leave in the perfect way.

Jesus Christ Super Star

My in-laws bought my Jesus Christ Super Star tickets for my birthday this year. It's an Andrew Loyd Weber show that has been picked up by Broadway for next year. The show was at the La Jolla Theatre and we were all excited to attend! After a short briefing before the show we began to walk to our seats. We had the best FRONT ROW tickets in the house! The music, the lighting, the dancing and singing were great. Especially since I felt I could reach out and touch the actors! haha. After we enjoyed a nice dinner at a Brewery. We always have a great time together. What a great birthday!

Turning 32 and Finally telling my Aunties!

Sunday my Mom had a birthday party for me and we plotted to tell all my Tia's the great news! When they all arrived I asked if we could do the cake first. They thought that was weird but agreed that would be different! So we lit the candles and they all sang to me...before I blew out the candles I said I just have one wish...That I have a healthy BABY! I of course was already tearing up and everyone screamed with Joy! Lots of tears and hugging and kissing just they was we do it! They all looked at me and said Oh mija es nina!" hahah. They were so sweet to buy me birthday gifts and just share mommy stories. It was such a great birthday sharing it with my cousins and Tias!

My 31st Birthday

My Tuesday birthday turned out to be pretty awesome! In the morning D brought me Starbucks, my students from last year baked me a cake, my crazy 4th period bought me a sweatshirt...specifically Kevin and Jimmy. Later that day I met Karla, Jacob, Leo, and my Mami at South Coast and we had an awesome dinner at Quatro Cafe. I shopped a while then I got home to some beautiful diamond earrings from my hubby! Happy Birthday to Me!
