Nike 10K-The Human Race 2009

This weekend was the annual Nike Human Race 10K and it was a unique event for me. So here is the break down:

Year 1:
Date: September 15, 2007, 9:00am
Cost: $31 or $39
Performers: Naughty by Nature (Treach shakes my hand), MC Hammer (I danced on Stage with him)
Race: Stephan, Dennis and I stick together while everyone else goes for a great time. We cut a little bit of the course but still finish strong!
Proud Moment: running into the LA coliseum because I felt like a sports star!
Highlights: I especially enjoyed trying to pull off Treaches ring…not on purpose!

Year 2:
Performers: Kanye West and Common
Date: Sunday, August 31, 2008, 6:30pm
Cost: $35
Race: Stephan, Dennis and I stick together for most of the race. Dennis hangs with me the whole wasy.
Proud Moment: Finishing the 10k without cutting the course and jogging the whole way with blisters!
Highlight:” Amazing concert by Kanye, WOW! He is such an great performer and I know he is a jerk but I love his music!!

Year 3:
Performers: None..it was for Pete Carols foundation a better LA
Date: Friday, October 24, 2009 @midnight.
Cost: $25
Race: Hung with Michele and only ran about 2-3 miles in the end.
Proud Moment: Doing tequila shots before, and during the race and ending with a stop at McDonalds! Talk about an unhealthy 10K!
Highlight: Michele and I running into the 901 bar laughing our butts off...and then taking a Patron shot during the race!

In the end we all met up at and everyone completed the race. Dennis came away limping and Jose proud he kept up with Ian! Until next year!
