February 28- The Birthdays

My niece Sarah and my girlfriend Michele share the same birthday. This weekend I helped celebrate both.

Friday night Michele’s roomies organized a sushi dinner in Redondo Beach. We had a blast celebrating to one of sweetest girls I know. I have grown close to her because she is my brother in law’s girlfriend and we really just connect because we have so much in common. Michele is so self-less and always puts everyone before her and I don’t think she really understands how much the people around her appreciate and love her. She did not even really want to celebrate but all of her friends and family were not having that! She is so beautiful in and out and always manages to crack me up with her finger waving and funny comments…which usually involve her weight or my brother in-law. I look forward to celebrating lots of birthdays with this sassy girl! Happy 30th birthday Michele!

Saturday it was Sarah’s turn to celebrate. She turned 9 and is as cute as can be with her lisp, glasses and adorable giggle. My niece is so full of energy and confidence. It shocks me how she can go play by herself and does not care what the other kids are doing. Her appetite is truly impressive; she can eat all day and is always hungry. My sis and I kid that she has a tape worm but that was thrown out by her doctor. She loves anything to with science and animals it was so funny when last year she said all she wanted for her birthday was to pet a tarantula…my sister made that “dream” come true. My sister is always on her case about being super bundled up since she has really bad asthma and gets really sick from it. I was excited to take her Sophie and Leo to see Avatar 3D. I love you Sarah you are becoming a beautiful little lady.
