J and M’s wedding.

It’s finally here. I woke up at 3am and could not go back to sleep my adrenaline was going and I was so excited. So after staring at ceiling for an hour and a half I decide to go to the gym. 4:30 am I worked out pretty hard! I went back showered and tried to nap but I only had an hour before I had to leave the room.

7:30am Getting ready:

I was off to Michele’s suite and John, Peter came to sleep in our room. The hair dresses and make-up artist were there and soon all the bridesmaids arrived. The excitement was incredible. We were all soo happy and ready for the day. Gayle ordered us an breakfast, which I thought was so sweet. Everyone got their hair done and a few of us were not thrilled with the results. Heather took her hair out per Cherie and I my advice. I was glad she did because she ended up looking fabulous! Michele’s hair and make-up ended up looking amazing… I was so surprised how relaxed she was!

Meanwhile the Boys are in Alan's Suite

By 11am Charla Blue Arrives: I was so happy to see her! She started to take some getting ready pics. She was so cool and collected.

Before we left to take bridesmaid pics I had to run back to my to my room and get dressed and fix my hair. There I found Peter and Dennis rocking out to hip hop…it was hilarious. They kept playing Booty works! Hahaha.

I rushed back to the suite where Michele was getting dressed. She looked absolutely stunning in her Pricilla Boston gown and Badgley Miscka navy shoes.

Bridal Party Portraits:

Loved all the girls in the bridal party!

The three Pattison Girls!

All the girls went to go take pictures and I believe this is where a little of Michele’s anxiety came in. She kept asking for her dad…she insisted Cherie go and get her father meanwhile Cherie was doing everything she could to reach him. I can’t imagine how stressful it was for Cherie as she was trying to appease Michele but at the same time she was worried about getting Reese over for some pics and she was not happy with her hair. Finally her Dad and I think that made Michele feel better. Michele then also wanted her Grandma’s rosary. After all of this was taken care of and many pics later it was time to head to the church.

Dennis had been calling saying the party bus was waiting for the bridal party. The limo had also arrived. So we quickly went back to Michele’s suite to gather our stuff for the church. In the hallway was a man with a beautiful bouquet with flower. John had them delivered for Michele as a gift!

We were then off to the church…

The party bus was fun but honestly I could not drink any alcohol as it was way to early. The other bridesmaids and groomsmen were drinking beers happily. John seemed to be super excited and ready to marry Michele.

The Ceremony:

Michele was taken into the waiting room and Leland advised all of us on the bus not to talk to Michele unless she talked to us. We would all get a little rattled and she would discipline us and tell us to chill out! Annoying to say the least. We lined up pretty quickly once we arrived and we were all pretty darn nervous. I could sense it in Adam and Chuck for sure.
The music started before we knew it and Chuck was off escorting Grandma Horn down the aisle. Adam peeked in and said…OMG Chuck just walked back down the main aisle he ruined everything…hahah! The kids behind us wee so cute…Reese, Jonas, Flynn and Clara were all antsy to move along.

Dennis escorted my inlaws into the church. My mom in law looked so stunning in her beautiful coral dress! (Glad she picked that one since she stood out in the crowd!)

It was finally our turn to walk in. I honestly was overwhelmed with emotion. I saw John at the front of the church and instantly I had a flash back. I just pictured all of the tears Michele had shed and how that was all gone. How hard the past year had been for them and now here they are ready to commit to one another. I locked eyes with Dennis he winked at me and I lost it. I Looked down immediately as I know I make ugly cry faces. I tried to look up again and them I saw my mom smiling from ear to ear…again more tears. I looked up again and saw Gayle…she lipped SMILE! That’s when I was like ya…smile! That walk seemed like an eternity I cant imagine what Michele was gonna be feeling.

The trumpets sounded and there she appeared with her father at her side! She was beautiful and smiling! Deep down I knew she would be nervous, as she had told us all how she gets in situations where the attention is on her. She said the room spins and she wants to pass out….we were all stunned that she seemed calm. I peeked over at John and his eyes were pretty welled up with tears.

The mass was perfect and the priest had so many amazing messages within his sermon…the big picture was It’s not easy being married, it is a major commitment that takes a lot of work but in the end its worth it. KP and I kept nodding at each other as so many messages were there for the new couple.

The exchanging of the rings was pretty funny…the priest had to ask John to look at Michele instead of him and the when Michele took the ring from John’s hand and slipped it on herself. She is a go getter and that was a sign of it right there! Hahaha.

Finally the end…They walked down the aisle as husband and wife ready to celebrate!

It was a bit chaotic knowing what we should do after the ceremony….after a few pics on the alter......John and Michele departed in the limo.

Bridal Pics:

We spent about an hour and some taking photos…when there is 25 people total it can be daunting for any photographer. We got them done and then Dennis and I went up to the room to freshen up and so D could read through his speech once.

We are then being called to go take Pattison family pictures. We only took a few as John was over it and really wanted to go party! I know we will regret this as the full family is rarely together.

Cocktail hour

Dennis and went to cocktail hour with Amanda and Stefan. The food was simple but elegant the tray passes apps were pretty consistent. The violins played in the background while everyone mingled. John showed up and was chatting with everyone but Michele had not arrived yet. After about 10 minutes she walked down the staircase and everyone cheered. John turned to Jimmy and I and commented how funny it was that they cheer for the bride everywhere! I hung out with my mom and Jim (he was sweet enough to go get my bouquet back in the room) and introduced her to the Pattisons.

After a while I ran it Dennis and John and we decided to get a sneek peak of the reception ballroom. W did and it was AMAZING! The lightening, the flowers and table set up was gorgeous! John loved it as he said it looked better than he ever imagined. I headed back to cocktail hour to find Chuck and Adam as the grand entrance was approaching and was no joke! Everyone was summoned to dinner and the bridal party lined up for the entrance.

I think we were all really amped to celebrate. The song was touch the sky by Kanye West and we were all ready. Every couple did a different dance and watching the video on my flip cam I loved it! Then John and Michele came into Bob Seager..Old Time Rock and Roll….wearing their shades. He spun her around and it was super adorable! We all loved it!

The first dance followed immediately after. One of my favorite moments since the bridal party rocked out in the background!

Speeches

Michele's dad opened up. He did his best to free lance his speech. It was heartfelt and he just wanted everyone to know how much he loves his daughter. After that came Cherie's...it was the most creative speech I had ever heard and seen! It had us laughing when she told stories of her borrowing Mich's credit card and talking about Michele plays cupid part time!haha The best part was when she pulled out these giant pictures of Michele! She was a total natural with her delivery...I was sooo impressed!

Then it was Dennis's turn. I knew he was nervous and had gotten a bit choked up the few times he read the speech to me. He started out a bit nervous but then did great with his little jokes and stories. I loved him telling the story about how John was hitting the neighbor with a tree branch trying to defend his big brother. Dennis loves, admires, and respects John co much and I know he wanted to convey that. Dennis told me before writing his speech how proud he is of his brother and I hope that message came across aswell.

John and Michele seemed to enjoy all of them!

The Reception Continues!

Dinner was delicious! The conversation at our table was nice. I think we all were just so happy to be together!

Cake Cutting

The Garter (Love Michele's dad in the background!)

The Bouquet Toss

The Dancing

Dancing opened up by having Michele dance with her father then with Alan.

Then John danced with his Mom. It was perfect.

After this the DJ came on...and believe me no one hesitated to jump on the dance floor!! It helped that the drinks were flowing at the open bar! It was right after dinner I went for some Patron shots...I really needed to catch up!
After an hour of the DJ...Alan's band Legacy came on. They were pretty amazing!

The sound was great and the music was like a live concert. Everybody was singing. I loved dancing in a circle with all the Pattison family!

D and I dancing

After an hour of the band the DJ came back on we continued to dance the night away!

Loved hanging out with the Sliders!

John and his Groomsmen (Since you've been gone?!)

WOW!! What a party, what a celebration!! Everything turned out perfect! It was the most beautiful and fun wedding I have been to! I am soo excited that John and Michele are married. I look forward to all of our family holidays and just growing up together!
