Christmas Eve Surprise!

I'm 16 weeks and last night I dreamt I opened up a gift and there was a box that said "It's a Boy!!" So when I woke up i checked the internet to see if any ultra sound place was open. I found a place in Redondo and D and I agreed it would be the best Christmas gift to give each other. I made the appointment and D and I rushed off to First Look.

We decided we would get an envelope and not find out in the office as that is so impersonal and just plain awkward. We wanted to enjoy the moment alone in our own home. We went back into the ultra sound room and the lady told us to close our eyes. She immediately said "Oh I know what it is!!" We couldn't believe how quickly she determined that. She assured that she has not been wrong in 10 years! We then opened our eyes and there the baby was! Cute as can be...she clapped her hands and everything! She then turned around to face the other way. D was emotional and honestly I was just filled with so much joy! We left so excited that we saw our baby on Christmas.

We decided to go to breakfast at Martha's really making each other anxious and just building the anticipation. We had a perfect breakfast and both wondered what it could be. We talked about names and just how excited we were. After breakfast we made one more stop at Bev Mo. We finally arrived home and we sat down. Dennis played Jay Z to pump us up...hahaha! We then turned off the music and sat down nervously. I thought football or dance class...in an envelope I held the answer.

Dennis video tapped me opening up. the ultra sound said "MERRY CHRISTMAS" IT'S A GIRL!!!!" I cried in joy and in shock! Never did I expect a little baby girl! I always thought I would have a boy and I even had ideas about nurseries. It was so crazy and I was so filled with so much emotion! Dennis was too.

No doubt her name would Michaela James Pattison. For so many reasons. Michaela after my amazing father in law Michael and James after my papi and Dennis good friend Jim. I also found out a few days ago that my great grandmothers names was Micaela. Such a perfect name for what I know will be my perfect little girl.
