G's World: Micaela is 1 Month

You and Mommy spent lots of time together.

We survived our first month and we had to celebrate. Celebrating with a newborn is interesting...it's really the little things that we appreciate now. Going to dinner or running errands happened regularly for us but now with Micaela it can seem like such a challenge. We have been to doctor appointments and we've been to Kim our lactation consultant..but that's it! So planned a simple trip to Manhattan Beach Village..Dennis made us an amazing pancake breakfast and then it was on. I showered while she napped and then when she woke up we fed her and prepared to leave. It is a challenge trying to get everything ready mow. After a bit of running around we got in the car and headed for Manhattan Beach Village. I wanted to buy new bedding for the guest room and Dennis needed hair stuff.. We would even attempt lunch! Ha! The car ride was great.. Which is rare because she hates it! She actually fell asleep and did not wake up again until we got home! It was so cool watching Dennis push her in the little stroller. He loved it too. We did a little shopping (I bought awesome new bedding at pottery barn)then decided that after 2hours it was time to leave.. No lunch just errands for today. We picked up food on the way home. We were so proud of ourselves and honestly had a great time doing a normal activity. Our life is forever changed by our daughter.. We working hard but enjoying every moment with her.

1month outing to Manhattan Beach Village

We decided that every month we will do a little photo shoot in her room, and make sure to take a picture of her on the rocking chair.

Mommy looked like this for the first month.

Micaela, You smile while sleeping and you love being in mommy and daddy's arms. Your swing keeps you calm and often wake up there from a nap. You don't like car rides yet snd we hope that changes. The stroller isn't fun either. You are learning to eat from mommy. You eat 2-3 ounces every 3 hours. Its so funny when you do king tut arms while drinking Tomee Tippee. Skin to skin keeps you warm and safe. Mamalita gives you baths in bathroom sink. You cry a lot because you are a little gassy or maybe a little scared of the world so mommy holds you tight and walks all around the living room. White noise is a must when you sleep. The happiest baby on the block has been our savior..haha. We swaddle and rock you to get you to sleep. I love to sing you silly songs. You had so many visitors because you are loved so so much!!! I have gotten very little sleep and I often cry because I am tired and scared too. The one thing I do know is how in love I am with you.
