Mamalitas Love

My mami told me.." I can't wait until you have your daughter because only then will you understand how much I love you!"

I have always admired my mother but she was right. I now understand how much a mommy loves her baby. My mom was the first person Dennis and I told about our pregnancy and she was so so excited! The day I went into labor I called her first. She was at the hospital all day and night until Micaela was born at 2am. 

This past month she has been so amazing to me and my family. She drives out regularly to bring us food. I have been drinking her delicious oatmeal and had fruit on stock! She brings dinner and the cleans as much as she can. Then she does her favorite thing.. Bathe Mica as she calls her. This is Mamalita time! She sings, sticks her tongue out at M, dresses her, gives her to me to feed then puts her down to sleep with lots of love! Seriously mom  has the touch. Its so amazing to watch her with her granddaughter. 

I keep telling her she is doing so much for me and doesn't have to. She tells me.. You are my baby and I want to take care of you. She is so funny about me resting and taking care of myself. She tells me my insides are still healing do I should rest and not lift anything! I am so blessed to have such an amazing mother! I hope to be just like her with my daughter.
