1st Night in your Crib

  Dear Micki,

    You are growing up too fast! You are now so long and wiggle so mmuch that you can no longer sleep in the co-sleeper. We should have moved you to your crib weeks ago but I just wanted you right next  me and I pushed it back as long as I could. You are 15 weeks and after how uncomfortable you looked last night kicking the sides of your co-sleeper I decided that was it.

We gave you your usual bath except this time downstairs. It was so weird because you love the bath so so much and today you cried towards the end of it. You had never done that. It made me feel like you understood what was happening. We did not have the fun party on mommy and daddy's bed like we normally have. Instead we changed you on the changing table and you were still in  tears. I of course was really starting to feel terrible. I then sat in my rocker and nursed you to sleep. I cried the whole time while your little eyes were closing shut. I cant believe you are growing up so fast and it is so hard for these types of separation milestones to come about. You are my darling little baby girl and I want to watch you while you sleep! Daddy and I will sleep in the room downstairs right next to yours. We have the monitor set up so I can watch you. You do have a beautiful room though and I think this day had to come eventually. Sweet dreams my little angel. I love you so!
